Italy was/is an amazing place. My mother-in-law lives in Sorrento high in the hills with a breathtaking view. Standing in her living room gazing out through her huge picture window at Mt. Vesuvius in the distance and the beautiful town of Sorrento below, I’m left to wonder... how on earth did she get my husband to do his homework when he was a kid?

   Can I just say... I LOVE New Orleans! The people, the culture the sights...not so much the smell (at least on Bourbon Street). Once you’ve been there, it’s obvious why so many authors set their stories in the hauntingly vital city. It’s a truly magical place. I can not wait to go back. I recommend the hotel Dauphine Orleans. It’s one street down from Bourbon but blissfully quiet by comparison. The staff and accommodations are heavenly.

Scenery Hill, Pennsylvania, is only a few miles up the road from my hometown. It’s a beautiful little town and aptly named. In TEMPTING ANGELS, I chose the Century Inn as a model for Abby’s inn--not just because of its quaint beauty, but because I’ve loved the look and feel of this inn since I was a child. This place has tons of charm and history. If you’re stumped for a nice weekend get-away I recommend Century Inn. Come during Pike Days if you love garage sales, and a festive atmosphere.
